Dear Southern Boone School District Families,
The Southern Boone School District WILL BE in session and will be running snow routes on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026. School buses #3, #6, #8, #13 and #16 will be running snow routes in the morning and afternoon on Wednesday.
Please review the updated bus snow routes below, including the list of roads where buses will not be traveling. Families who live on impacted roads will be responsible for transporting their students to and from school on Wednesday.
If your child is affected by the snow routes, please contact your child’s school office to report any transportation changes, including whether your child will be picked up, ride a different bus, or walk home in the afternoon.
Please note that school bus drivers may use their discretion and will not travel on any road they determine to be unsafe.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority when making transportation decisions during winter weather.

Bus 9 - Will travel unless Jefferson City Schools is out
Bus 11 - None
Bus 13 - Coonce Lane, Missouri River View
Bus 14 - Will travel unless High Roads is canceled
