The Southern Boone County R-I School District is pleased to announce Shelly Sconce as the new assistant principal at Southern Boone High School. She currently is a math teacher at South Callaway High School and will officially begin her duties as assistant principal on July 1st, 2023.

SAVE THE DATE: Southern Boone High School Graduation will be on Sunday, May 21st, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. and will be held on the baseball/softball field.
The graduation ceremony will be live-streamed on the Southern Boone Activities YouTube Channel.

The audition camp is on April 27th from 6-8 p.m.

Congratulations to the Quiz Bowl team for being district runner-ups! They played with professionalism and class and brought honor to their school. All members of the team scored points throughout the day and contributed throughout the season to the team's success. Even though the team's MSHSAA season is over for the year, they will represent Southern Boone at the NAQT Small Schools National Tournament in Chicago at the end of the month.


Southern Boone High School Graduating Seniors, Baccalaureate will be held at the high school on May 6, 2023, from 3:00-4:00 pm.


Earlier this week, Dr. Miller's high school minority history class went on a field trip to visit the Cahokia Mounds and went on the St. Louis Women Tour at the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis.

Mrs. Golightly's high school chemistry class worked on an Oreo percent composition lab today. The students tried to figure out if Double Stuf Oreo cookies really do have twice the amount of filling by using the percent composition formula.



ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Be sure to sign up your out-of-school or underclassman prom date during lunch this week. Out-of-school guest forms are available to be picked up outside of the high school office.
