The Southern Boone Athletics Department is hosting a Winter Sports Parent Informational Meeting on Sunday, October 16th, at 5:30PM in the high school gym. Parents of middle school and high school students that plan to participate in basketball, wrestling and cheerleading in middle school and high school this year are encouraged to attend.

The Southern Boone School District is offering an optional protection plan for all student Chromebooks and iPads for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents/guardians have the option to participate in the Personal Learning Device Maintenance Program. The deadline to sign up for the program is Friday, October 14th, 2022. Starting on Monday, October 10th, 2022, the location for the high school student pickup line in the afternoon will be moved to the high school commons parking lot. This change will help alleviate traffic congestion between school buses and other vehicles when school is dismissed. The school buses will continue to use the loop in front of the high school’s main entrance.

The Southern Boone School District will celebrate National School Lunch Week next week, October 10-14, 2022. The fun and creative campaign theme, “Peace, Love & School Lunch,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success both in and out of the classroom. There will be surprise guest lunch servers, fun giveaways and prizes, and a lot of groovy fun planned around school lunch next week.
Last call for opt outs! Our first round of the Boone County Mental Health Coalition's Checklist takes place tomorrow at 9:30 during Advisory. Parents, if you want your student opted out of the checklist, please notify Dale Van Deven (dvandeven@sbschools.us) or Kara Mabery (kmabery@sbschools.us) by 8 AM Wednesday. If you have previously notified us, and we have responded back to you, you do not need to notify us again.
