We are excited to get back to school and want to help students get ready for their first day of classes at the high school! The district has again supplied every student with a school-issued Chromebook. This year, only school issued devices will be allowed at the high school. Students will NOT be using their personal device (excluding phones) while at school. Students returning to the district already have a signed technology agreement on file with the school so these devices and chargers can be brought home daily. Students who are new to the district will need to fill out a technology agreement form before receiving their device.
The Southern Boone School District is also offering an optional protection plan for all student Chromebooks and iPads for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents/guardians have the option to participate in the Personal Learning Device Maintenance Program. If you decide to not take part in the program, the cost for repairing a damaged or lost Chromebook and iPad is the same as in the past; with the full responsibility of repairs and/or replacement residing with the student/parent, not to exceed the total replacement cost.

*If you did not turn in a cord with your Chromebook at the end of the previous school year, you will not be provided a new cord. Cord replacement fees are $25 and fees may be paid in cash at the high school library. If you have your cord from last year there is no charge.

Tuesday, August 30, 12:00-7:00 PM (This includes OPEN HOUSE)
Thursday, September 1, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
Freshmen Orientation will conclude with distribution of Chromebooks to Freshmen who have not already picked up their Chromebooks

Good morning!
We would like to invite all freshmen to our freshmen orientation on Thursday, September 1st. This orientation will run from 9 am - 12 pm. We would love to have every freshman attend this welcoming event, as they will receive a tour of the building, walk through their schedules, and have the opportunity to ask questions. Our Link Crew members will also discuss things freshmen students should know about coming to the high school, which will come in handy the first few days of school. Please check in at the front doors and be ready for a great morning!
