🗳️ Election Day Experience! 🗳️
Today, students in Mrs. Thompson’s and Mrs. Contrades’ 5th Grade Social Studies classes took part in a hands-on learning experience by participating in a mock election! After a week of learning all about the election process, these young voters put their knowledge to the test by showing up at the “polls” today. 🗳️🇺🇸
Engaging in activities like this helps our students understand the importance of civic participation and builds lifelong skills.

5th Grade ELA students celebrated finishing their narratives by participating in a gallery walk! Students were able to read each other’s stories and write compliment cards. What a great way to wrap up their narrative unit!

Southern Boone Middle School's Student Council and Jr. BETA Club are teaming up for a Penny War to support families affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Starting Monday, October 21st through Friday, November 1st, students are asked to bring pennies to their Eagle Time teachers and help make a difference! 🪙
The winning grade level will get to choose a special activity, so let the competition begin! 🏆✨ Let’s show our Eagle pride and come together for this important cause! 💪🦅🔴⚫

We are so lucky to have supportive businesses in Ashland. Our student council wants to thank those that donated funds or supplies to help stock our Eagle Store. The Eagle Store is open to students twice a week for students to spend their Eagle Bills.
