This spring, students participated in the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Grade-Level Assessments (including MAP-A) and End-of-Course (EOC) assessments. These state assessments measure student progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards and provide valuable information about student achievement and academic growth.
Grade-Level Assessments are administered in Communication Arts (grades 3–8), Mathematics (grades 3–8), and Science (grades 5 and 8). EOC assessments are administered to students enrolled in designated high school courses, including Algebra I, Algebra II (for those students who took Algebra I in 8th grade), English II, Biology, Personal Finance (for those students who take this course embedded in another class), and Government.
Individual Student Reports (ISRs) for the Spring 2026 assessments will be distributed to families by the end of September 2026. Each report includes your child's Achievement Level (Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, or Advanced) along with descriptions of the knowledge and skills typically demonstrated by students performing at each level. These results provide important information about your child's academic progress and help guide instructional planning and student support.
If you would like to receive your child's Individual Student Report before the district-wide distribution at the end of September, please contact your child's building administration beginning September 8, 2026.
To help families better understand assessment results, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) provides a Guide to Interpreting Results (GIR), which explains the information included in the Individual Student Report. The guide is available at: https://dese.mo.gov/college-career-readiness/assessment/grade-level.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child's learning and academic success.
