Great progress continues on the new vocational agriculture wing at Southern Boone High School!
✅ Roof installation is complete
🔜 Sheet metal work, including roofing trim and downspouts, will begin soon
🧱 Masonry crews are making strong progress on the block veneer, with completion expected in the next 2–3 weeks
🔌 Inside the building, electricians, plumbers, sprinkler fitters and HVAC crews are hard at work
When complete, the new addition will include two vo-ag classrooms, a dedicated lab space and a large shop, along with two new art classrooms and a new family and consumer science classroom.
These improvements are made possible through the $11.6 million no-tax-rate increase bond issue, approved by voters in April 2024. The project remains on track for completion and is expected to be ready for use at the start of the 2026–2027 school year. We’re excited to see it come together for our students and community! 🦅❤️🖤
