Jackson previously taught Family and Consumer Sciences in Illinois and is excited to begin a new chapter working with a different age group and content area.
Having attended the small Van-Far R-I School District, Jackson is looking forward to joining another close-knit school community. “I am looking forward to being back in a smaller district with that tight-knit community feeling again.”

Becca earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from Northwest Missouri State University and a master’s degree in K-12 School Counseling from Stephens College.
Having previously worked at Southern Boone as a paraprofessional, Becca is excited to return and serve the community she now calls home. “I am passionate about creating a safe, caring environment where every student feels valued, heard and encouraged to reach their full potential.”
Becca and her husband, Justin, have two dogs, Sage and Yadi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out and shopping—especially at Target with a Starbucks coffee in hand!

🍋 A Sweet Donation for a Great Cause! ❤️
On Wednesday, members of Southern Boone Elementary Summer School’s winning Lemonade Stand Charity Competition team presented a check for $4,919.35 to representatives from Ronald McDonald House Charities in Columbia.
Fourth-grade students Luke Thornhill, Liam Stone, Porter Campbell and Owen Lynn operated the competition’s highest-earning stand and selected Ronald McDonald House Charities to receive all proceeds raised during the summer school event.
We are proud of these students and all the teams for using their creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills to make a difference! Thank you to our families, staff and community members who supported this special project.

Tucker recently graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Middle School Mathematics Education.
Tucker is excited to join a close-knit community that reminds him of home. “Community is what makes somewhere feel like home, and I am excited to be part of the Ashland community at Southern Boone!”
In his free time, Tucker enjoys watching and coaching sports, especially football. He will also help coach football at Southern Boone High School. His faith is an important part of his life, and he dedicates much of his time to it.

Ethan and his wife, Lanie, enjoy calling the area home. In his free time, he likes playing golf, watching movies and cheering on his favorite sports teams—especially the Kansas City Chiefs!

Alex graduated from Missouri State University and has taught students in kindergarten through third grade. After discovering a passion for literacy and reading instruction, Alex earned a master’s degree in Reading from William Woods University and a Special Reading Certification from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Alex is excited to join a community that provides positive opportunities for students and staff while demonstrating kindness and support for others.
Outside of school, Alex enjoys spending time with family, reading and taking walks. Alex’s son will begin first grade at Southern Boone Primary School this year.

🎯 Assistant Trap Shooting Coach
Support the head coach by providing instruction, mentorship, and encouragement while promoting safety, sportsmanship, confidence, and skill development.
