🍎🦅 NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT: BRAELYNN HAMPTON
Please join us in welcoming Braelynn Hampton to the Southern Boone School District! Braelynn will begin her first year as a classroom teacher, teaching English at Southern Boone High School. She previously worked in education for a year and a half as a substitute teacher.
Braelynn earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She received her teaching certification through the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence.
Braelynn is excited to join the Southern Boone community and continue building relationships with students she previously worked with as a substitute teacher. “I’m looking forward to getting to know my students, their families and the Southern Boone staff while continuing to grow as an educator.”
Outside of school, Braelynn enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, trying new coffee shops, playing pickleball and going to the movies.

Karlee holds a bachelor’s degree in K–12 Special Education and is working toward her master’s degree, which she expects to complete in December 2026.

Due to the Primary School floors being waxed this week, STOP the Summer Slide will be canceled on Tuesday, July 28.
The program will return on Tuesday, August 4, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Primary School bus loop doors.

Our new teachers and staff attended July Jumpstart this morning as they prepare for the 2026–2027 school year! The morning included introductions to key district staff, technology and communication tools, professional development, mentoring, payroll and benefits and other important resources.
July Jumpstart gives our newest team members an opportunity to ask questions, make connections and learn more about the support available throughout the district.
We’re excited to welcome them to the Southern Boone family and look forward to the positive impact they will make for our students! 🦅❤️🖤
