Ashland FFA hosted its annual FFA Barnyard outside Southern Boone Primary School, giving our PreK–4th grade students a fun, hands-on opportunity to meet a variety of farm animals and learn more about agriculture. 🐖🐑🐓
From seeing the animals up close to learning from our FFA members, it was a great day of learning outside the classroom!

Construction projects completed include:
✅ New Agriculture and Innovation Wing
✅ New concrete parking lot with more than 40 additional spaces
✅ Baseball and softball complex upgrades
✅ First phase of high school HVAC improvements, including energy-efficient LED lighting and new ceiling tiles
These projects are creating safer, more accessible and modern spaces for our students, staff and community. The improvements were made possible through voter-approved no-tax-rate-increase bond issues in April 2024 and April 2026.

Southern Boone Athletics will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1986 Softball State Championship Team this evening as the Eagles host Hickman! 🦅❤️🖤
Due to the heat, the times for tonight’s celebration and softball game have been pushed back.

🏆 5:45 p.m. — Pre-game recognition of the 1986 State Championship Team
🥎 5:55 p.m. — Ceremonial first pitch
🥎 6:00 p.m. — Southern Boone vs. Hickman
The 1986 Lady Eagles finished their historic season 16-1, won the Little Dixie Conference and recorded 10 shutouts while outscoring opponents 142-31. They capped off the season with a thrilling 6-5 victory over Westran in 10 innings to win the State Championship!
