Emily recently graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She also completed her student teaching at Southern Boone Elementary.
Emily is excited to return and begin her teaching career in the welcoming and supportive environment she experienced as a student teacher.

Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in English Language Arts from the University of Missouri. Alex is also pursuing a Master of Education in Elementary and Secondary School Counseling from the University of Missouri.
After living and teaching in the Washington, D.C., and Maryland area for the past six years, Alex is excited to return to Mid-Missouri. “I am excited to be coming home to my Mid-Missouri roots and to have the opportunity to teach in such a welcoming and supportive community!”
Outside of school, Alex enjoys reading, baking, crocheting, traveling, attending musicals and comedy shows, and trying new seasonal coffee flavors.

⚾🥎 Baseball and Softball Complex Improvements
One of the many projects completed this summer on the Southern Boone High School campus was improvements to the baseball and softball complex!
The project included replacing gravel areas with concrete walkways, expanding the lower-level spectator viewing area around the bleachers and constructing a decorative block retaining wall.
Funded through the April 2024 no-tax-rate-increase bond issue, these upgrades will improve safety, accessibility and the overall experience for our student-athletes, families and visitors. 🦅❤️🖤

This important hands-on training helps ensure our team is prepared to respond confidently during a medical emergency. An additional CPR training course will be offered to staff next week.

Our district administration team spent the past two days collaborating and preparing for the 2026–2027 school year. The sessions included department updates, discussing a variety of topics, planning for upcoming district activities and events, and attending a school law seminar.
From instruction and student support to transportation, communications and school safety, every department plays an important role in helping our schools succeed.
We appreciate our administrators’ leadership, teamwork and continued commitment to Southern Boone students, staff and families. We’re excited for another great school year! 🦅❤️🖤
