This year’s Southern Boone Homecoming Court is using its annual fundraising competition to make a difference right here in our community!
Court members are competing to see who can raise the most money, with 100% of the proceeds supporting Tammra Aholt and Jennifer Brooks.
The competition continues through this Friday, October 2nd, with the winning Homecoming Court pair announced during Homecoming Coronation Friday night.

This morning, students in kindergarten through 6th grade took part in required rear bus evacuation drills.
The drills give students an opportunity to practice how to safely and quickly exit a school bus in the event of an emergency.
Bus evacuation drills are one of several safety drills conducted throughout the school year to help our students and staff stay prepared and know what to do when it matters most. 🦅❤️🖤

🐝 7th grade students are learning about pests and pollinators found in flowerbeds and gardens. Each student selected a pest or pollinator to research and will soon develop a plan to either deter their pest or attract their pollinator.

Ashland FFA hosted its annual FFA Barnyard outside Southern Boone Primary School, giving our PreK–4th grade students a fun, hands-on opportunity to meet a variety of farm animals and learn more about agriculture. 🐖🐑🐓
From seeing the animals up close to learning from our FFA members, it was a great day of learning outside the classroom!
