The Eagle Foundation is inviting local businesses and community members to support students, teachers and schools across the Southern Boone County R-I School District.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Eagle Foundation provides a way for individuals and businesses to make tax-deductible donations that directly benefit students and staff through scholarships, teacher appreciation efforts and classroom innovation grants.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the foundation’s fundraising goal is $10,000 and includes:
Student scholarships: Helping graduating seniors pursue higher education.
Teacher appreciation events: Recognizing educators for their dedication and impact.
Teacher mini-grants ($200 each): Funding innovative classroom ideas that enhance student learning.
“Our community’s generosity plays a vital role in expanding opportunities for both students and staff,” said Michelle Benke, foundation president. “Every contribution—big or small—helps strengthen our schools and supports excellence in education.”
Southern Boone Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth praised the foundation’s continued partnership and impact.
“The Eagle Foundation has become an invaluable partner in helping us enhance learning experiences across the district,” Roth said. “Their support directly benefits our teachers and students—making an immediate difference in classrooms and creating long-term opportunities for success.
Foundation Vice President Kip Batye emphasized how community involvement fuels the foundation’s work.
“The generosity of our local businesses and residents is what makes Southern Boone special,” Batye said. “When our community invests in our schools, we’re investing in the future of our students—and that’s something we can all take pride in.”
