Southern Boone High School will hold its 2026 graduation ceremony at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17, on the school’s football and soccer field.
The stage will be positioned at midfield facing the bleachers. Graduates will be seated in front of the stage, while family members and guests may sit in the bleachers or along the fence.
Gates open at 3 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive no earlier than that time. The concession stand will also open at 3 p.m., offering beverages
Parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Designated accessible parking will be located east of the high school building, between the building and the field.
Graduating seniors must report to the high school commons by 4 p.m. Wagner’s Photography will be on-site to take professional photos during the ceremony.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors to the high school gymnasium, with additional seating available in the commons and auditorium.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on the SBC Activities YouTube Channel for those unable to attend in person.
High School Principal Shelly Sconce said the ceremony marks an important milestone for students and their families.
“We are proud of the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and look forward to celebrating this milestone with our students, families and community,” Sconce said. “Graduation is a meaningful moment that reflects years of hard work and dedication.”
Sconce encourages attendees to prepare for outdoor conditions.
“We want everyone to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience,” she said. “Guests should plan ahead by bringing water, sunscreen and other essentials.”
