A pair of food service employees at the Southern Boone School District have received regional honors from Opaa! Food Management.
Southern Boone Elementary School Kitchen Manager Connie Rouse was named the regional kitchen manager of the year and Elementary School’s Brenda Ravenscraft was named the regional employee of the year. The region includes over 40 Opaa! school districts with more than 70 kitchens.
Rouse and Ravenscraft were surprised with a special ceremony that included family, friends and elementary school staff on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Rouse has been with the kitchen since 1999 and with Opaa! since 2004 and Ravenscraft started with the company in 2022.
These awards are presented to employees who best demonstrate Oppa’s core mission and values. They were nominated by many different school individuals including admin, teachers/staff, and fellow Opaa employees. Both winners are now eligible for the food service company’s overall awards that will be presented in July.
