DISTRICT COMMUNICATION: For parents/guardians with students in the district, it is important that you have a current email address and cell phone number in your parent portal account in Infinite Campus. Please check to make sure your contact information is up-to-date in your account so you are receiving all school-related communication from the district, building principals and your child’s teachers.
Important emails from the school district will be sent from the communications@ashland.k12.mo.us email address, text messages will be sent from the phone number, 98900 and you will receive automated phone calls from the phone number, 573-657-2147.

The school district held its annual All Staff Back-to-School Breakfast and Convocation this morning. The event included reciting The Pledge of Allegiance led by the Middle School Student Council, a musical performance by high school student Julia Francis, opening remarks from School Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth and guest speaker, retired superintendent Dr. Kevin Daniel, who spoke about scaling your Mount Everest personally and professionally. It was a great way to start the first day with all teachers and staff in our buildings as we prepare for the 2023-2024 school year.

New teacher orientation continued this morning with a bus tour of the school district and community. Stops included the Ashland Optimist Club, Southern Boone Farmers Market, Hartsburg Ball Field Park Southern Boone YMCA and the Southern Boone Learning Garden. The new teachers learned more about the school district, community and why Southern Boone is such a great place to live and work!

The Boone County Commission presented a letter of intent on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, to award ARPA funds in the amount of $450,000 to the Southern Boone School District. The funds will be used for the construction of two greenhouses on each of the school campuses to help expand its educational agriculture programs.
The funding will be used to build a greenhouse at the Southern Boone Learning Garden at the primary and elementary schools and a greenhouse at the high school for its agriculture department and award-winning Ashland FFA program.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS: Students are required to receive immunizations, according to the schedule(s) listed below, and documentation of up-to-date immunizations must be submitted to your child’s school nurse PRIOR to attending school on his/her first day. Immunization requirements are determined by the State of Missouri.

- All new/incoming preschool and kindergarten students must be up-to-date.
- Students entering 8th grade are required to have updated Tdap (Tetanus) and MCV (Meningococcal) vaccines.
- Students entering 12th grade are required to have two doses of the MCV (Meningococcal) vaccine. Note: If the first dose was administered after the student’s 16th birthday, only one dose is required.
