Ms. Hammann's kindergarten class recently got to explore the inside of a pumpkin. They learned about the different parts of a pumpkin as they carved it. Students also got to practice drawing shapes by creating faces on our their own pumpkins.

The elementary school was awarded a $500 grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Association. The funds were used to purchase items for safety bags for each teacher at the elementary school.

The Southern Boone School District will celebrate National School Lunch Week next week, October 10-14, 2022. The fun and creative campaign theme, “Peace, Love & School Lunch,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success both in and out of the classroom. There will be surprise guest lunch servers, fun giveaways and prizes, and a lot of groovy fun planned around school lunch next week.
Meet the Middle School Library Squad: Liliana Brown, Julia Volkart, Leo Overstreet, Ella Hill, Katelyn Bach and Emily Riggs! Outfitted in their special library aprons, this crew checks books in, places books in the hold basket, shelves and straightens books; helping to keep the library neat and orderly. They help in the library before before school, during Eagle Time and during study hall. Ms. Chapman counts herself very lucky to have them!
