Mrs. Sapp's high school graphic design class went on a field trip earlier this week to Fast Yowi Tees in Columbia. Each student was able to shadow a graphic design artist for the day and learn about their specific processes.
SBC Theater Productions presents a Cinderella Princess Tea for primary and elementary school students on Sunday, March 12th from 1-3PM in the High School Commons. Tickets are $30 and include a three-course tea, scenes from the upcoming performance of Cinderella and a photo in Cinderella's carriage or on the Prince's throne.

Registration is now open for 2023 Summer School for students that will be in Kindergarten-8th grade during the 2023-2024 school year. Summer school will take place June 5th-29th.

8th grade students went to the high school on Thursday for their enrollment orientation. Counselors and selected juniors shared a variety of information and answered questions about making the transition to high school.
The primary school's 1st grade music program was held last night. The baseball-themed program was a huge HIT! Primary music teacher Mrs. Williamson did a great job. Thank you to everyone that attended.

Mrs. Batye's 5th grade English language arts classes celebrated National Read Across America Day today by listening to famous authors talk about why reading is important and what inspired them to write. Students also shared their favorite book and why it’s their favorite.
Today is Read Across America Day! School Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth visited Mr. Roebke's 4th grade class this morning to read to the students. The purpose of Read Across America Day is to help get children excited about reading. The day occurs each year on the birthday of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss.

The Southern Boone County R-I School District is pleased to announce Christy Jones as the next assistant superintendent for the school district.
Ms. Jones has 25 years of education experience, which includes 16 years as an administrator. She is currently the high school principal at Marshall Public Schools. Ms. Jones will officially begin her duties as assistant superintendent for the Southern Boone School District on July 1st, 2023.
